About Recreation & Active Disability Support

RADS – Recreation & Active Disability Support is based in Port Elliot and provides disability support services to people of all ages across the Fleurieu Peninsula.

RADS offer personalised support to suit the needs of individual clients and include a client care plan and meeting shifts with our support workers to ensure our clients are supported by a familiar and regular team of qualified support workers.

Clients of RADS have access to ‘The RADS Pad’ in Hill Street, Port Elliot. The RADS Pad offers a recreation room with two 8-ball tables, table tennis and air hockey tables, darts, TV/DVD and Xbox, as well as a kitchen area where you can learn to prepare and cook a meal with support!

We love to see the smiles on our clients faces as they learn new skills, enjoy new experiences and achieve their goals!

RADS is a fantastic organisation that really puts its clients first. Their objective is to enhance the lives of people with disabilities and their carers by supporting individualised programs of social inclusion, recreation and support with daily living. Our family member, (client) is out in the community every day, doing what other young women her age are able to do – swimming, walking, meeting for coffee, going to the library, music and has even had time away from home, for a big weekend in the city. She would not be able to do so much without the love and support of the awesome RADS team of dedicated carers. As (client) family and full-time carers, we feel confident placing her in their care, giving her an opportunity to mix with other adults and a small respite for us all, even when we don’t think we need or want it. We highly recommend RADS to people living with a disability and their carers- fun and smiles guaranteed as well!
